Audit Supervisor

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our well established and growing practice. The firm has a core practice in closely-held businesses including, automobile dealerships, retailers, food distributors, employee benefits audits and a significant niche within higher education. The ideal candidate would have 5 to 8 years of public accounting experience including audits, reviews, compilations and some tax experience. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required. CPA credentials are strongly preferred.

Specific Responsibilities and skills would include:

  • Hands on approach to plan, conduct, supervise and wrap up engagements for both defined contribution and defined benefit plans.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and workpapers
  • Develop management recommendations
  • Participate in several engagements simultaneously
  • Experienced user of Profx tax, Engagement, and Document

We are looking for a Tax Manager for our Braintree office. This position is a wonderful opportunity for someone with the desire to further their career. O’Connor & Drew, P.C. has a core practice in closely-held businesses including automobile dealerships, retailers, contractors, food distributors, real estate and as well as a large number of high net worth individuals and families. We are seeking a creative individual who can help our clients survive and prosper in today’s complex and ever-changing tax environment.

Specific Responsibilities and skills would include but not limited to:

  • Quality Control Review of individual, partnership, corporate, estate and gift tax returns
  • Research complex tax matters, develop strategies and alternative solutions for prospective transactions
  • Consult and advise with Accounting Partners and become an integral part of corporate work
  • Review and advise on year-end planning for individuals and businesses
  • Write and contribute to various publications
  • Mentor and guide young staff members
  • CPA license required and MST preferred
  • Strong writing skills are needed to draft correspondence with clients, attorneys and tax authorities as well as internal memoranda regarding income tax research
  • Ongoing commitment to continuing education and professional growth
  • Experienced user of Pro-fx tax, Engagement, and Document helpful

  • Experience preparing individual and business tax returns (Corporate, Partnership, trust)Ability to prepare complex multi-state returns
  • Ability to prepare complex multi-state returns
  • Bachelor degree
