Audit Manager – O’Connor & Drew, P.C.

Full-time Position

We are looking for a motivated Audit Manager to join our well established and growing practice. The firm has a core practice in closely-held businesses including, automobile dealerships, retailers, food distributors, employee benefits audits and a significant niche within higher education.  We are looking for a person who can help us continue to grow these areas of the firm. Job Description

As an Audit Manager, you would coordinate and supervise multiple client engagements from the planning stages to completion.  Along with the Partner, you would manage client relationships including looking for ways to enhance client experience and mentor staff on each engagement.

Responsibilities.

  • Hands on approach to plan, conduct, supervise and wrap up engagements
  • Prepare and review financial statements and workpapers
  • Develop management recommendations
  • Participate in several engagements simultaneously
  • Pro-actively suggest and assist in implementing improvements to scheduling, staffing, timing and remote working to your engagements
  • Work with, develop, and mentor junior staff
  • Work with members of the firm to improve work processes and templates

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate would have 7 to 10 years of public accounting experience including audits, reviews, and compilations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CPA are required
  • Experienced user of Profx tax, Engagement and Document is a plus
