The Federal Trade Commissions Safeguards Rule requires automotive dealership to develop, implement and maintain procedures to safeguard customer information. We have developed a program that will assist the dealer to become compliant with the rule. The program offers all department managers a detailed presentation on the requirements of the rule. We then perform a risk assessment of the current policies and procedures in place and implement the controls based upon the requirements of the rule. Finally we prepare Information Security Program, without which a dealership is not in compliance. |
