Mitchell S. Halpern, JD, is the Director of the Firm’s Estate Planning and Sports and Entertainment Accounting Services practices. He joined the Firm in 1993 and specializes in tax and financial advice specific to professional athletes, entertainers, and high net worth individuals; multi-state taxation and estate and gift taxation.

Mitchell has authored and published a chapter on state taxation of professional athletes and has been asked to speak on this topic at the national Sports Lawyers Association Conference. He is often consulted by sports agents for his expertise in various aspects of the taxation of professional athletes and has been quoted in various newspapers including New York Newsday and The Patriot Ledger.

Mitchell received his Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law after graduating from Ithaca College with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Management. He has successfully completed both the Massachusetts and New York bar exams and is a member of the Sports Lawyers Association.
